Quality educational toys can be expensive, and children often outgrow toys quickly. Many families may not have access to a wide variety of learning materials that support creativity, problem-solving, literacy, and STEM skills.
The SICC Mobile Toy Library helps make learning resources more accessible by creating a community where toys are shared, repaired, reused, and enjoyed by many children.

Members can borrow educational toys and learning kits to enjoy at home.

We welcome broken or well-loved toys and help repair, restore, or repurpose them whenever possible, keeping toys out of landfills and giving them new life.

We’re bringing the Halifax Toy Library to Spryfield!
We will be hosting regular toy library events every second Saturday afternoon at the Captain William Spry Community Centre. These family-friendly gatherings are an opportunity for children and families to discover new toys, play together, exchange gently used toys, and—once they become members—borrow toys to take home.
📍 Location: Captain William Spry Community Centre, Spryfield
📅 When: Every second Saturday afternoon
🕓 Time: 4:00–5:00 PM
Our goal is to create a welcoming community where children can enjoy more opportunities to play and learn, while families can share resources and reduce the cost and waste associated with buying new toys.
